Making your way around Smales Farm

If you’re visiting us or are part of our community, here’s some helpful information to make for a smooth ride. Parking is also FREE after 5pm weekdays and all throughout the weekend.

Visitor Parking – Pay by Plate

Smales Farm has a range of short and long term parking options, including a combination of free P5 & P30 options, as well as P180 and all day parking where the first half hour is free – please refer to the site map below. Pay by plate payments can be made by coins, debit or credit card or by using the ParkMate App. Parking is only enforced Monday to Friday between 8.00 a.m. — 5.00 p.m, all other times parking is free.

You can download the ParkMate app here for Android and here for iPhone. Downloading/Registration for this service must be completed prior to using the service.

Smales Farm is private property and not a park and ride facility for the Busway.

Smales Farm Bus Station

The Smales Farm Bus Station forms part of the Northern Express route and provides passengers with fast and efficient connections via the Northern Busway stations and Britomart.To plan your bus journey visit AT Journey Planner. Staff Parking

All Day Pay by Plate is available for staff working at Smales Farm in selected areas.

Scooter & Motorcycle Parking

There are a number of dedicated scooter and motorcycle parks for employees and visitors to our site, these are available free-of-charge.


The Smart Travel NZ app available on Google Play and the App Store offers a simple and flexible matching tool that enables staff at Smales Farm to ride-share with each other for the journey to and from work. By carpooling, you’ll have access to T2 and T3 transit lanes & priority lanes.


Smales Farm has a number of end of trip facilities available including cycle lockers, showers, and bike racks. Bike racks are in/around Smales Farm (as well as in buildings) and can be used by all staff/ public.

Cityhop  Cars
